Roleplaying

Hi

Last days I was looking in the forum for some kind of RP with no results. (Maybe a post looking for partners to create an airline is the nearest thing to a RP). The difference betwen a game like this and a PC game should be exactly this. Here we are more than 300 players per game and we should try to make some kind of RP. I know that the actual simulation doesnt help so much (alliances does not have all the features needed) and I know "our leader Sami" is working hard to improve the game, but by the while I think we could search the way to interact ourself. Lets go putting here our ideas and make the game better.

I agree with you totally. The airline press releases are fun, and so many are a great read, but we as the
"CEOs" of our airlines should be able to interact in a roleplaying fashion with each other. I think it'd be a lot of fun and something to do while we watch the days fly by in game. (Pun Intended)

I absolutely agree with you! There should some other roles such as...

  • reporters (what he reports actually affect company image)

  • manufacturers (I am sure if someone is playing this role, he can expand the Boeing/Airbus factory to pump out more airplanes each month  ;D)

  • bankers

  • maybe integrate this game with some airport management game?

but i am sure this will just be a dream in the near future...

If you want to role play, you don't need any pre-defined roles by the game itself. Just start doing it!  On the forums in press releases is a good way to start. Private airline matters can go to forum PM's, all role playing doesn't need to be public. Also the alliance forums are a good place.

I agree with Ollik. Besides the press releases, nothing stops you of expressing yourself about the game or other things, while sticking to your CEO-role. Besides the forum, it´s also great fun giving your PM´s a ´rpg-twist´.

This es what I wanted to say when I opened this post. We dont need "simulation" to RP. But writing as airline CEO a press release everyday is not a RP, we need to make stories that involve more than one player.

Well.. don't forget that you have non-native English players playing this game... and as you may understand some might have some trouble writing elaborate reports and stuff like that...
