Anyone interested in possibly starting a new alliance for the smaller regional carriers to coop on?

Captim

Hi,

I'm a newb, soon to conclude a reasonably successful demo game where I concentrated on a regional carrier.

Myself and a friend will be joining the game shortly, we plan to alliance up, so perhaps three is not a crowd?

It seems to be a jungle out there, so the more the merrier I say!

I'd be keen! I'm currently building an Australian airline. The way other airlines have flooded the market with capacity p***es me off so yeah, let's do it :D

LOL.

I am having reasonable success in Japan right now, got most of the routes sewn up so could be interested soon, just need a couple more aircraft.

Hey guys,

Thanks for replying.  I posted a Press Release regarding the possibility of starting a new alliance.  I'm looking for more dedicated founding members with 35+ aircraft and a 40+ market rating.  I think that would be the best to ensure a successful alliance though it looks like not many that match that critera are interested =(

Here is the press release I posted:

To: Any Airline meeting the below-referenced criteria
From: Echo Airways and Co.
Re: Exploratory Alliance Committee

Echo Airways has launched an exploratory committee with Taiwan Pacific with the intent to find out if regional and growing airlines are interested in working cooperatively to create a new alliance.  We are looking for founding members!  Let's bring increased competition to the skyways and bring new opportunities to our loyal fliers!  The minimum requirement for consideration is as follows:

1) 35 aircraft minimum
2) Company Brand <40
3) Healthy Cash Flow

Thank you!

Why such a high limit on planes?

My Airline has 20 planes, a reputation of 70 and a steady cashflow.
I don't plan on growth but on being steady.

A small alliance with smaller airlines could strengthen the members.

I am at 11 planes - CI pushing up towards 40 now (I only started last Friday) and like the bOO above - I plan on steady growth from here on in until I can perhaps get a second base with international route appeal....

I might be at roughly 20 planes very soon, but don't see myself going much beyond that. So sadly I cannot be in your alliance.

In Japan, that would be Narita or Osaka kansai.

Yep. Not ready for the expansion yet though. Consolidating my domestic position :)

And trying not to take on the might of Quantum Airlines directly!!!

:D :D

As long as you stay in sapporo, we'll get along just fine ;)

There are still a lot of good routes out of KIX and NRT available.. since I have max out the number of planes that can be based in those airports.. so it's possible for us not directly competing the same routes :)

It took me a while to notice this post from you - sorry!

I've moved out of Sapporo now and am having a late game experiment to see if I can grow an international network from NRT. Trial and error - you didn't leave me much though! Johannesburg is one free route....although it might be the longest flight non-stop out there at over 17 hours!

I'll catch you in the next game!  8)
