So I did a forum search on Boeing 747-200 and got like 47 pages of announcements and could not find any answers to my questions?

I read thru an under stand the A/C below 30 seats are difficult at best, (I'm testing that theory with 3,  30 seaters and expect a 10-15% profit margin when they mature thats not going to get me new A/C. So I need a Plan B.

currently in the games used market the only competitive A/C is the 747-200
However Ive never owned one and wonder is there too big like there is too small?

the cheapest one is still 870,000ish a month for lease, is this a death sentence?
fuel is 214 and rising, and its 1980

(yes I know I'd grab a 727, or 737, 757, dc9,10 md81,82 or even an airbus if there was one but Ive been looking for 3 weeks game time.)

Note: there are like 800 some 727 and 737 in storage because I don't see them in the used market???  come guys sell them!

This was the reason why I added another turboprop fleet. There weren't just enough YS-11s on the used a/c market (>_<')

One of my YS-11A-200s was used by Royal Norwegian Airlines and returned it to the lessor on 9/11/1977. It took almost almost 2½ years before it was at used a/c market. With so little amount of YS-11s left, 2½ years is quite a long time for an airline to wait for an aircraft.

The planes in storage are not owned by the player.  The are a few CPU controlled leasing companies who are in charge and they periodically release those for sales.

Every plane is unique.  If you are mid game, expect the planes on the used market to only be a crutch to get you started.

Avoid all sub 30 pax aircraft.  They are simply not capable of covering the fixed costs they generate.  An aircraft's profit on the My Aircraft pages do not include management and office space (to name a few).

The 742 is not a bad aircraft... Heck air force one is a 742...... Just slightly modified :).   Time to board my flight to KDEN on a 763

The 742 is not a bad aircraft IF YOU CAN FILL IT. The problem is it can be beat on frequency with DC-8's, 707's, L1011's, DC-10's, and soon 762's. So, if you get them, have an exit strategy as 4 spinning motors with 40% load factors tend to send a lot of virtual AWS employees to the virtual unemployment lines....
