n could ny of u guyz tell me what would my expenses be if i leased a used DC-9-15 and not put ny routes on it (just leave it idle) ??

thx

you really should do a search for the answer for your first question

for the second question assuming you don't assign days for A and B checks then its just going to cost you the leasing fee monthly + the C check is you set that on auto. i always assign my routes to at least 2 planes some of my routes have 3 planes flying so that when C check comes I don't have to worry about it. I don't see why you should let it sit there idle, at the very least fill its schedule with routes you already fly, alternate 1-3-5-7 and -2-4-6-

when doing a check... do we NEED to have enough cash?
immagin i hav 500000 n a C Check costs 600000... then would it say not enough cash n hence check not done... or would my cash balance be -100000???

if you have it on auto it'll do the check anyway and you'll be in the red but so far i've tried manual C check when i don't have enough money and it didn't let me

I've had one time when both of my aircraft went into c check on the same day, so no flights for 3 weeks my image dropped by about 2 points but i got it back pretty quick, so like gets easier if you lease aircraft with different expiry date for C check preferably a month.

my strategy right now (experimenting) is to lease used aircraft for a year usually with 9-10 months away C check, when the time comes I wouldn't make the check and leave it as it is and return it at the end, I'm expecting to make enough money in that 8-9 months to lease new aircraft to replace them. i'll be loosing maybe a mil per plane but thats acceptable.
