In manage routes...

2225-0020*  <---
0105-0500

It is too late for arrival ?

Talentz

It means "next day" arrival.

Ex: Tue 2225-0020* Wed

Though if thats a real routing... might want to scale it back a bit.. 0105 departure? Wont get many pax on that flight.

tomahack

The problem is i Can't arrive before 5:00 am, coz its closed. :(

Talentz

Must be a European airport...always making things difficult!  :P

Do you have enough block time to make the turn time like "5 hrs" or something?

You could flight late at night, have it "overnight" and take off first thing in the morning.

Somthing like 2250-0045* <4:15 hr turn> 0500-0855

That is, if you have the block time to spare..

Here's my 3 routes with this plane!

The fact is, i don't catch the turn-around thing yet.

In shedule, when i mouse-over flights it say, You can dep at xx:xx , do i need to plan turn-around, or its already in the "YOU CAN DEP", so i can put the flight right away ?
In fact, Turn-around time must be planned before/after A-Check, after opening(probably), before closing(probably)...
But between routes?

Do i need to calculate it apart ? The only thing i've found yet is, it calculate automaticly the DEFAULT turn-around on the plane, but sometimes, with 20-25% probability, its not enough. I figure it must be below 15% probability of delay.

Jps

The departure time shown in the schedule is the first possible departure time (so with the minimum turn-around time). Therefore, you should always keep some time between the flights so that the real turn around time is enough (maybe that 0% for hub airport, so you have some time left in case the plane arrives late).

Kastor

I think he has all the day filled up and his A/C is flyin' back and forth with 1.5h turn arround time. Thats the utilization !  ;D
I always make the minimum turn arround time double and I mostly avoid delays due to long T/A.
I know what you mean Talentz, I use overnight stayin' in other airport:

Example:

JFK - ORD       0900-1115
ORD - JFK       1215-1630
Days: 1234567

JFK - BWI       1730-1850
BWI - JFK       1950-2110
Days: 1234567

JFK - DTW       2210-0040*
DTW - JFK       0530-0800
Days: 12345-7

I would also like to do the tricks with swaping returning aircraft in one city, but this only works with two hubs.  ::)

After your hints, here's my new routes.. i added a long turn-over overnight in YWG of 140 minutes to arrive a YYZ at 5 am.

CYYZ - CYWG       0545-0740
CYWG - CYYZ       0825-1220
Days: 1234567
Y: 53.3%   C: 47.9%
Y: 62.8%   C: 55%

CYYZ - CYWG       1315-1510
CYWG - CYYZ       1555-1950
Days: 1234567
Y: 56.9%   C: 54.3%
Y: 53.7%   C: 52.1%

CYYZ - CYWG       2130-2325
CYWG - CYYZ       0105-0500
Days: 123456-

Sure, load factors will be below my 55% average on business class, but i will lower a bit my prices and we'll see. I don't have the numbers yet since i just opened this route.

Actually, many airports I used in Asia in Betas were closed some 6 hours per day, but now that I'm in Europe, I haven't seen a single airport not open for 24 hours  8)
