Time Between Routes

Does leaving more time between different routes decrease the likelyhood of a delay?

Obviously the length of the layover affects the probability of delays for different segments withing the same route, but what about between routes?

For instance, a B734 has a mandatory layover of 40min, but if you leave 70min between routes are you less likely to be delayed?

You can not help having delays due to weather conditions or delays because of a tech problem with your aircraft but make sure you have the right amount of staff so you don't get delayed for lack of staff. As for the between route delays i am not too sure....

Yes, you are less likely to have a scheduling delay.  Longer time between flights = less scheduling delays.
