How can you have more than 400 aircrafts?

Do not enter into my head how some companies can have 400, 500 or even nearly 800 airplanes.

I even choosing an airport without competition and with many high demand routes (up to 800 passengers daily), with 80 aircrafts I have already overcome the demand for all airports (I just don't go to airports with less than 50 passengers day)
And considering that the second or third base have a maximum of 100 airplanes, the most I can imagine is a fleet of 200 or 300.

So I wonder how is it possible?
If it is doing schedules only between 6h and 22h (but the rate of Fleet Utilization of these companies is normal to high).
If it is using nearly 200% of the demand of airports.

I'd guess that you're not actually filling all the demand from your airport. Which one are you at?

In DotM, which has less demand than MT or beginner's, I had 70 a320/757/767 at each of Baku & Tashkent, and certainly hadn't filled all the demand. I had ~400 planes (admittedly 100 of them were ATRs) at SVO, flying 18+ hours/day, and I'd pretty much filled it. There were still some ATR routes empty though. SVO is size 5, but it hasn't got anywhere near the demand of a top 20 airport.

I think it is my site.
I'm in Melbourne and although routes with up to 8000 pas / day, there aren't so many options as a major U.S. airport.

I just saw that in Chicago O'Hare or Atlanta has hundreds of options with demand greater than 500 pas / day, as in my case I am limited to a maximum of 20-30 airports.

Thanks man.

I guarantee Melbourne has enough routes for hundreds of planes.

You'd probably use 100 planes just flying to Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Hobart, Perth, Cairns, Townsville & Darwin.

Then you've got the smaller routes to the rest of Oz, big routes to NZ, heaps of big routes to SE asia, some big routes to west coast of US and south america, also big, long routes to eastern US,  & the middle east, and if you want to fly ULH, there should be plenty of 200 pax routes to Europe as well.
