Market share question

ok heres the situation, on the DUB-JFK flight there is two airlines, me and another competitor at Dublin, we are both using the exact same equipment 757-200 so one would assume we have a 50/50 market share.

At the moment its slightly in my favour 52 vs 48, does the market share chart relate to the amount of route passengers flying each airline or is it just a calculation of how many seats we have on that route? ie will it change if i have a higher route image, more popular flight times etc or does that stay the same?

Those are all factors, and I think the higher the route image that you have the more seats you'll fill which = more percentage of the pax on that route.

It means that you have flown 52% of the pax and he 48% ...
