Alliance benefits

Hi All,

I have read the Manual, Intro and a few posts but would like to get some insight from other players.
I am interested to find out what 'real' benefits are available in joining an Alliance.
Examples
- does it help you to get your CI up?
- is there the opportunity to move planes around at better rates if you change or upgrade fleet types
- are 'secrets' of the game revealed to Alliance members (how the h*** do you get to 200 fleet strong in 1-2 years...I must have a meaner bank manager)
etc

Alliance is only for communicating and social purposes between players. It helps nothing in your airline.
However, you can get a lot of useful info and techniques exchanges or even get some aircraft at lower prices from your alliance members.
