The game wont be open to the public until after Beta-testing (where currently in pre-beta testing).

Beta testing is supposed to jump off the ground sometime between february and March. The actual date that Sami will set depends on the speed he can code at, the new features that need to be added, and finally (hopefully) few bugs. So, I guess you just got to wait

I did already.  I'm just wondering if it's a matter of days, weeks, months or years.  Didn't mean to put pressure on you, just wanted to know when I can be expecting to play.

You know what, i wouldn't mind if it still had a few bugs in it for the 1st few months, and seeing new things added would make me notice them more, so the answer to your question is "Crappy first virsion" but i know it is not 'crappy atm, so i would say developing virsion.

You can not speak for the game since you dont play it. Its great, but there are key features that need to be added.

IMHO the game doesn't have any major bugs at the moment, the guys have done good work in pointing them out. That's the goal all the way, to have a ready & bug-free product to be released as it's more enjoyable for the players then too.

But like already said some subpages and some needed features are still missing (aircraft class config, airline image, airport slots, route capacity enhancements etc) which are all needed for the first release. Then there are also a lot of things planned for later adding like transfer flights and similar things but those are not done to this first version.
