Soooo.. Been a long time since I played AWS, decided to "join in" the ongoing 1.3 beta  ;D, planning to come back after it hopefully.

I've noticed that the early morning flights (1-2AM departures etc.) have very low LF.. Does anyone want to share their knowledge to avoiding this :oo?

I know twisting around the schedules or putting in a long flight right at the end might work but I'm wondering what you guys are doing.  ;D

So psshh share some secrets..  ;)

You should start an aircraft schedule by departing at 5:00. Depending on the aircraft, try to put as much flights in there as possible. If you have the schedule filled till about 23:00 or so, just add another flight. Though it is night time, you will always earn a bit money, at least more than when the plane would be on the ground overnight.

Well the thing is.. I earn next to nothing running those flights after 23:00, I tried discounting the price by 20% (then 30%), LF is still stuck between 10-30%.

I see you're also in the 1.3 Beta, is this happening to you?

Its not just in the 1.3 beta, no passenger wants to fly late at night or early in the morning (well most of them don't) thats why you get low LF...

don't do those flights, do what Ilyushin said

Ahh k thanks, I'll keep running them though, makes more sense earning 2 000 USD than leaving the planes on the ground  8)

Hi unbornio. Long time no see! Remember that when your a/c makes 2,000 USD per day, it is gross margin. Usually that will result in a loss in the income statement.

Hi there.

I meant 2 000 USD for those 1AM flights   . Earning tons and tons on the normal routes. Thanks for your advice though.

Hello

Yes, i have often thought why late night departures and earyly morning dep get soo penalised, if domestic or regional I can understand, but international is a total different ball game.  In real life out of Hong Kong for example, all the European international flights depart HKG between 2400 and 0330am in the morning(same for Bangkok), in order to arrive at the prefered times at destination, wonder if we could have internationl LF adjusted according subject that the ATA(actual time of arrival) is within reason at the other side.  I can also tell you those european flights leaving at the dead of night out of Hong Kong are full to the brim, as for Bangkok.
