Does engine release feature has +-18 month launch date like aircraft? @ sami

Regarding to this;
https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php/topic,26356.msg136776.html#msg136776

"...Engine variants for each aircraft model have now separate launch dates too. In other words when the model, for example Viscount 700, has been launched it comes only with the basic engine variant (RR Dart Mk.505 in case of Viscount). Then some time ahead (according to real data) the further engine developments (Dart Mk.506) come available...."

Have engines a release date that is fixed to real world data (so 1.1.1990 for XY in real world is 1.1.1990 in AWS?) or is there a period of time like for aircraft the +-18 month thing?

A not so important question;
Previous orders can also be edited according to the normal editing rules with the new engines (fees apply).

Does this mean
1) ordering aircraft and all of them can be edited to the new engine variant as long as the delivery date is later than engine launch date (like it is at the moment for seating or bases)?
2) if you order aircraft till 1990 and in 1986 a new engines becomes available, you are not allowed to change existing orders (like it is at the moment for other variants, i.e. 777-200 to 777-300)?

Data for this feature is not inserted yet (apart from Viscount and a couple of other early models), so feature may be incomplete with the first v.1.3 games but technically it's done.

What data do you need? Alexgv1 and I do a bit research for this feature and maybe we could send you details.

To expand on this point, which aircraft still need data?

Obviously we disregard the aircraft which have only one engine choice (e.g. A350). Also we disregard aircraft which are launched with both engine choices (e.g. 787, A380).

But for aircraft like 757-200 going from RB211 to PW4000, or 737-400 going from CFM56-3B2 to CFM56-3C1 it makes a huge difference to the range and fuel efficient initially available to operators of these aircraft. Some would argue this is a massive "nerf" to the 757, which I am not complaining about because people will have to explore alternate aircraft choices maybe (like using a 767-200 to get that range and capacity, but with much more fuel burn).

Also any pointers in the right direction would be useful. Have been digging into the GE Aviation website Commercial Engines section, and there is information available, but often the dates are more on inferences than hard facts, and are only given as to which year not the exact day and month.

There should be the same randomization. But I cannot remember it exactly right now...

For the data; gotta make an excel file for example with the existing data etc that can be filled with the dates.

Thanks a lot and a file that we can fill would be nice.
