Routes losing their slots unexpectedly

I might be missing something obvious but... Is it possible for a route to lose it's slot while it is assigned to an airctaft?

I know C (and D) checks can take the a/c out of service for a while but I believe the system takes account of this. In any case, it'd have to be out for over two months for the slot to be lost anyway. C-check takes 20 just days on this aircraft and it hasn't had a D-check.

The a/c in question is an A330, one of seven doing a 7-day rotation to six destinations.  I happened to notice that one seemed to be making a little less money than the other six (or should that be a bigger loss  :( ) and it seems just one of the routes was not being flown because it had no slot, despite still being assigned to the aircraft.  The other five routes were fine.

Now, logic says there must of been a slot to begin with or I could not have created the route.
I know I have not removed any routes from the a/c (for two whole months!) and then re-added them - I'd remember.
If I'd created the route well in advance and not assigned it to the a/c for two months then it would have already lost the slot but then so would the other five routes as I always create them all at the same time when doing 7-day rotation.

So - any idea's what I'm missing (probably something obvious). How could this have happened?

My only thought is that I suffered a couple of badly timed cancellations - one before the C check and one after - but even this would only mean the route not being flown for five consecutive weeks. Not long enough.

That's the more likely situation that could have happened to you... I know that the lenght of D-checks is right short of the deadline for slots expiration.
If you have more precise data, try to send them via PM to sami, he can probably have a look at this problem.

I had a similar thing in the last ja game. Didn't report it though
