Obnoxious Routes.....like Seriously

I might get some backlash for saying this but i think its completely absurd so i'm speaking my mind. I just happen to look at one of my base airports (HNL) and noticed that i now have some competition. Although i Welcome the competition i feel as if the Routes that another airline created are soooooooo ridiculous!

For Example: Seriously running the A300 series to the neighboring Hawaiian islands which are only 80 NM from each other and then running 4 to 5 operations into 1 destination, ALL Leaving at the SAME TIME! lol i mean c'mon! Y is this allowed?

It's allowed because the system is not that smart yet.

There is a feature request about not counting flights if they leave too close to each other...

About flying a large aircraft to nearby airports... It's up to the airline to decide how they flly their aircraft. In Japan it's normal to use heavies such as Boeing 747 on short routes to meet all the demand there is.
In current system, frequency beats everything else, so if you started to fly to Hawaii with for example 3 Embraers, you would get some 75% of the marketshare if the competitor only uses 1 plane and your CI is about the same.

Seriously tho, running a route from PHL-RJAA 9x ALL leaving at the same time, isn't that a form of slot hogging? (It kinda sucks for the carrier that was there prior to this now having operate with massive delays because of this don't ya think?)

Not really, because he would leave his home airport at that time anyways with every aircraft, no matter if the destination is the same or not. Of course, at the destination it could be more spread, and the 2nd departure at home airport, but I wouldn't consider it slot hogging. It's just very unrealistic, and should IMHO be ruled/coded out.
