Wait or Jump In?

Hi guys,

It's been a little while since I ran a AWS operation....wanting to jump back in, but I've never entered a sim that
was so far in as all the current games are.

Question:  Is there fun to be had when so many players have had weeks to run their operations, or is it better
to wait for the next new sim.  Is there any idea of when the next game would even begin?

Many thanks for any replies!

in Modern Times, its the time of game when some of the big players are getting bored and BKing, so if you find a base, you should be alright

I just jumped in after taking a break from AWS (couldn't figure out why my last airline bk'd) but after about an hour of searching airports I could only find a significant airport in the US which had some slots available but seeing the type of competition can only run a regional airline out of there. I chose Fokker 27s and the airline is up and running, small but at least it's not bleeding money: it's making enough profit to survive but not much room for expansion. I'll take this as a challenge although i'll have to change my initially planned aggressive expansion strategy. If you want to try something original this could be the chance to, but I always prefer joining a world from the start.

I enjoy starting mid-game and getting into the fray thats already going on, toppling a few big airlines and taking over the world.

Therefore, I suggest jumping in :-)

Jump in. It is challenging but that's the reason why we play AWS no ?  :P
