Trafic between bases

Hallo Sami,

I may want to open a base beside my headquarters.
Do the rules of the game allow that i schedule one-way flights between my bases?

E.g.: I am based with my HQ in Chicago (ORD) and want to set up a base in Denver (DEN).
Can I then schedule a last flight originating from ORD, finish at KDEN and then start an early flight the next day, say, from DEN to San Francisco (SFO) and return from there back to ORD?

Kind regards,

BizFlyer

Sami

That's not possible, since you must assign a home base to each plane and it must return there after each sector.

The 3 leg routes will be back in next version I think.

I think this would be a great idea. One way routes could make it a bit more interesting and maybe could let us get some more out of our a/c.

Hallo Sami,

thanks for your reply.

Yes, I understand and I accept, that the plane must return to the home-base. I have no problem with that.
But in real life planes and crews are allowed to spend the night an an airport other than the base and fly home in the morning or later during the next day.
However during that time "out of house" they could be making good business for the company elsewhere.

Of course any operator has to schedule his planes over the week in such a fashion, that the plane is at the base when the scheduled A- or B-checks take place.

It is good news to hear, that three-leg routes will be back in next version (perhaps...).

Greetings,

The planes can spend a night at out station with current system. Just set the turnaround time long enough. Or did I miss the point of the above post?

Yea, his 3rd statement,
QuoteHowever during that time "out of house" they could be making good business for the company elsewhere.
So he also wanted to keep the plane in the air while on the other base.

Everything he suggests, has been done before, but the ability is just not available at the moment...
