Option to Lease out Aircraft but still C/D done by yourself, A/B by lessee

Sorry about the phraseology of the title, it is slightly out.

What I was wondering is if it would be possible to change the a/c status so that while you are selling it you can still be maintaining it. Also, would it be possible to rent out an aircraft where the lessee pays for A&B checks but the owner pays for the C&D checks (owner would still be making money over the course of the year).

This would do two things:

Help smaller airlines survive the initial period as the big checks are paid for by the leasing company (maybe make it conditional upon a 3 year or longer contract).
It also means that the owner knows it will be properly maintained and would also make people more willing to do long term leases.

In effect it would create something between a full wet lease and the current dry lease situation, almost like a built in maintenance contract.

Finally, is it possible to have it so that while you are listing an aircraft on sale you can continue to perform scheduled maintenance on it (A & B) and also to do major (C or D) where the start date for a lease would be set as the day it finishes maintenance.

Just my 2 penn'orth
