New Aircraft Delivery Wait period

Purchasing a new aircraft, I see this listed when the price quote is given.

"Please remember that the delivery times are approximate and can move forward if the production rate increases or if other orders are canceled. The delivery time is confirmed 6 months prior delivery."

Seeing a large wait - I notice many slots are still free yet I am waiting years for the aircraft.

Has anyone actually had their delivery dates bumped up?

Hi !!

the system is done such qway one cannot "block" all the production slots.

Therefore, other players can place orders too.

So if you already have some orders placed for this family of aircraft, your next order will go after your current ones, explaining the long wait for these. (sometimes you see players placing orders of 50 planes. If they block 50 slots in a row, nobody else will be able to place orders and get their planes in a decent time).
