Staff cost of 3rd base

The staff overhead cost for opening 2nd base seems to be about 40% increase of non-flight staff.  Can I expect similar increment for opening 3rd base?  Meaning 1.4 * 1.4 = 1.96, which is nearly doubling (+96%) of non-flight staff cost?

You should expect a lot, yes.

Here's a thread on the subject (that you'd posted in previously).  The last post is from me with a screenshot showing my before and after on 3rd base opening:

Looks like your increase from 2nd to 3rd was only ~24%.  If my figures from 1st to 2nd were correct, 1st to 2nd is ~40%.

24% is better than 40%, but still, I think the extra bases need some tweeking.  When I look around, I see a lot of players destroy their airlines by opening extra bases.  The airlines that are not super profitable to begin with completely hit the wall or go under.  Limit of 70 aircraft makes opening a 2nd base a money losing proposition for a lot of airports without enough profitable long distance routes.  And if there is not enough demand there to keep 70 aircraft busy, it is even more likely to be a money losing proposition...

I posted some ideas for costs and plane limits in this thread:

which would make additional bases more digestable...

I'm running 1 HQ + 3 hubs in Jet Age 2. Only my HQ is big enough for me to place more than 100 aircraft there and all other bases have only around 30 aircraft. 3 of them with only 30 of NAMC and BAC One-Eleven and the last one have 30 DC8. But I'm still making good income.
