Sami,

Few questions regarding the ordering system. I wanted to order A350-900 on game day 18th sep 2009, when I tried to order it, earliest slot given to me was Oct 19th 2012. I already have 46 of those on order. But when I was browsing on the airline news I saw that an airline had ordered the A350-900 and deliveries starting 12th oct or something like that. My first A350-900 from original order is delivered on the 26th October 2012.

My point is when I ordered my aircraft's initially why was I not entitled (earlier) for those slots? a new airline ordering after (wayyyyy after) can get aircraft delivered before my order . No customer loyalty? no repeat business taken into consideration?

game is ATB, Just curious how it works.

cheers
VJC

Somebody cancelled an order that was made prior your order. Production slots for cancelled order become available for new orders after the cancellation.

Even though they produce multiple machines a month, it seems, that you can only get about one a month. That's the strange thing. Of course, this prevents, that the whole slots for years are gone immediately, but I think too that it should be possible to get more slots per month, if you order a lot of planes or if you pay a little more for earlier slots. And what is very strange too: I did order 12 MD-90s (and I'm currently the only one with orders for this plane) and even with a rate of 12/month, I only get them over a period of a year.

Read this long thread on the subject, though it's really answered in about the first 5 posts or so:

Is that true? I thought slots from cancelled orders are not available to anyone or it will only be available some time after the cancellation.

IIRC, Sami said that it happens once per month - when cancelled orders become empty slots.
