Warning on losing your discounts.

I just saw a player in a game order 50 a/c.  13 purchased and 37 leased.   The large order volume discount will help him now.   However, I am assuming that this player plans on changing the leases over to purchases at a later time.  BIG MISTAKE.

While this player will get his applicable discounts, if any changes (and I mean ANY) to the order, you lose ALL of your discounts.

I have asked for this to be changed in the future but it is not something in any current game.

When you make ANY change to an existing order.  The price resets.  So, any change from lease to a loan....  If you change the seating...  Heck, if you change the brand of tires the plane will have, you could end up spending tens of millions more.

Just an example.  I have an A319 purchase already set up.  If I change the seating from 120/5 back to 126/0, it would cost me an additional $1.1 million just to buy the plane.  ????   I lost a TON of money when I changed some of my A340s to A330s (I was launch customer and ordered a lot of planes... lost like 15% of discounts)

Just be careful, now.

The order editing will be updated soon, after I have time to finish the changes, so this "worry" will be also gone then.

no doubt, Sami.  I just want the players and newer players to know what they are getting in to.  I did put in there that it had been asked to be changed.  Keep up the good work.

Just noticed someone posted it in the bug forum too recently.  Oooops.

I realized that recently when I changed an order of 10 737-900s that I bought to 737-700s. I thought I would be having a cheaper price, but instead I was charged way more.  :P
