I just have a small question about the 738 and the 739 seat configuration.
For both the maximum capacity is 189Y seats, but if configured in standard economy seat the 738 has 162 seats and the 739 has 180 seats. How is this possible? The standard economy seats in the 738 are bigger? I don't think so.. please tell me!

Those planes are not the same, just take a look at the emergency exits.
The B7378 has 4 on each side, the B7379 has 5 on both sides.

Those 189Y seats are High Density seats. You can fit 189 of them, but that will not make your pax very happy ;)

But thomas' problem is that both appear to be the same size based on pax#.  Is this a bug?

I think this might be because the B739 is limited to a lower number of seats than would fit in the cabin because there are not enough exit doors.  This was fixed on the B739ER, and is why Boeing no longer makes the regular B739.
