Hi

When you create a route for a yet to be delivered aircraft what costs would you incur and what is the average time the slots would be free until they disappear? Not looking to hog slots just have the aircraft working from day one and also I do not have to be on the computer the exact time it arrives.

Cheers

When you create the route, you only pay the fees for the slots at each airport. The slots will automatically be returned to the public pool after 2 months in game of non-use, except in case of C and D checks. When you start flying the route, you'll need to have enough personnel to operate it, so you may have to hire new employees after creating a route. Unless you've already hired or fired personnel, the computer is set by default to automatically hire necessary personnel (It attempts 100% but sometimes goes to 101%). You don't have to hire the staff for the route until the day you start flying it, so it's a good idea to wait as long as possible until then to hire new personnel for a new route. That way you save money because the new staff start getting paid immediately after being hired. Once you have the slots and the personnel, the route will start flying as soon as the a/c arrives, assuming it is scheduled for the route. You don't need to be at the computer for it to start.
