A/B Check Sched times?

Ok may be a stupid question, but just curious. When scheduling your a/b checks do you need to take turnaround time into affect with these as well? Like say I have a MD-80 that gets in at 0200. Do I need to put a 70 min delay on the time I schedule my checks, or can I have them start automatically at 0200? Thanks ahead of time.

After the plane lands at your base, you need to wait until all pax are out of the plane etc (turnaround time).
But you can start flying right away after the maintenance is completed.
B-check is done automatically, so you don't have to worry about that.

For example:
My DC9 comes in at 23:25, I can start the A-check at 00:00 earliest. After the c-check is completed at 05:00, he flies right away the flight I have scheduled.
The B-check is on mondays starting at 00:00. Once a month, the flights on that day will be canceled automatically and the a/c will undergo its B-check.

complete your schedule first.  You do need 5 hours for the A check but you do NOT need to make room for the B check.  That is done once per month on the day (and time) of your choosing.

When you are done with the schedule, see EXACTLY when it says that the plane can be used again and place your A check there.  If you wait the 70 minutes to do it, you will lose a few minutes.

Ok that makes sense, So create a buffer between the last flight and the check, but you can sched a flight right after the check is done. Thanks for the response/help.

Yeah I figured that out just recently. "Wasnt Sched any flights during the B check time" Quickly fixed that ha.
