Aircraft History

Who thinks it would be a good idea to have aircraft history? for example, if I buy a used DC-9, the aircraft would hae the usual condition, but also its history of owners and registration. So:

McDonnell Douglas DC-9-10
MSN: xxxxx

Built: xxxx
Delivered To: Airline X as G-XXXX until xx/xx/xxxx
Operated By: Airline Y as G-YYYY until xx/xx/xxxx
and so on?
