C Check streamline idea

So now that I have over a hundred planes, I woke up this morning and saw that 9 of them needed a C Check.  So for each and every one I had to:

Open up the plane window
Click on the "C Check Expired" link
Click on the "Perform C Check" link
Click on the confirm button

Repeat X 8.  Wow, that's a lot, and I am sure that others who operate commuters like me have this issue, especially when you order planes at the same time every year.

Idea:

On the Aircraft page in the box where all your expired C Check planes are, have a check box next to each one.  When you click in the box, the cost for each fills in and totals at the bottom.  Then a confirm button to approve mass C Checks.

Feedback?

Sami

use the automatic checks instead?

Before doing it automatic it is best to do it one time manually in order to have a smooth scheduling of C Check. Not all aircraft in two months and nothing or so the twelve remaining months

Even on Automatic you can still do them Manually.  I do it all the time to force a C-Check to spread out a little more if I've got too many at once.

Only downside is that you can't schedule the next C-Check, so you've got to remember to force that one back into C-Check in a few months time if you want it spaced out.

The only thing you can't do while in Automatic is let one lapse so that you can spread it out... but that's a rather risky proposition.  I'd just spend the money to do it when it's due then do it early a bit later on.

If I set it to automatic, I lose the ability to let an older plane go and end the lease early (for less than a C Check costs) so that I can move the schedule to a newer plane.

Auto check is convenient, but I still want control over when the check gets done (or not at all).

It would be Uber-cool of we could have a visual depiction of the C check schedules for all aircraft on a one year projection and the possibility to manually reserve future slots for them.

Richard

PS :  Sami, should I move this to the features request?

To edit this idea:

Perhaps an auto-C check on the individual plane window itself (instead of your entire fleet), so you can set it up automatically or have it default to manual?

I also like the idea of a visual representation for maintenance, possibly creating a queue for this.  Also shouldn't there be a cap on the amount of planes you may have in maintenance in comparison to the size of your fleet?  I don't see any airlines putting 20% of their planes in C check at any given time.  That would ruin ridership, customer loyalty, etc.

I've been advocating for settable C-check dates for ages.
