Brand New Aircraft Condition.

In the North American Challenge game, I just started flying a brand new MD-81, which is .10 years old.  Why did the condition of the aircraft drop to 91%, after only a week in service?  I had the A and B check scheduled before the plane ever started flying!  Sami, is there a bug in the game?  I have 3 more jets rolling off the assembly line, are these planes going to be in poor condition within a month?

The condition fluctuates between 85-100% when in normal operation if you have A+B checks scheduled. Nothing abnormal..

Sonic, that plane could have gone through some serious stresses on a flight and needs some bolts tightened.  91% is actually pretty good.

Does this mean, that those planes with worse condition will allways stay so? I got two in 90% while others are always 96%. After A&B checks those two soon dropped back to 90%. Would they be back to 90% even if repaired to 100%?

Well I did 5 flights daily and it kept dropping so i canceled the 5th.

I'll give you an example how it works:

I bought a plane that had 76% condition. When it arrived it had already scheduled total utilization - it was always on a route unless it was in a turn-around. The only part where it stays on the ground is one hour before A check and one hour after it.
The first week it fluctuates in between 70% - 76%, then it gets repaired, next week also, the next two, then the B check comes and it cluctuates in between 73 - 79%. After another B check is gets between 76 - 82%, after another 79 - 85% etc. It gets higher and higher but it is virtualy impossible to have a plane at 100% all time. The best you do is keep them in between (before B check) 93 - 100% (after B check). Which is great shape  :)

Umm no, mine didn't stay same range (it does now after cancellation).  Kept going down the drain.

That's strange. Never happened to me. Maybe there was something wrong. You did A/B checks regulary? I have a huge fleet utilizations and all my planes are in between 93% and 100%. Even the ones I buy at 70% get there in few months.

My two planes seem two drop even lower (now around 88%) after first B check. And they are new with 600-800 h flight time. Maybe I need to wait for a few weeks to see what happens.

Yeah probably.

The condition fluctuation is perfectly normal. Like already said.. If you make A/B checks according to the schedule AND also C/D checks when needed, the condition will raise in the long run.

But if you're flying some 30+ year old crap then I'd say it's not so likely that the cond. will raise with the normal checks made. But other than that ..
