Slot situation in JA2 vs. ATB

Hi guys.

Just a general question, perhaps I missed on something. I believe to observe that the slot situation in JA2 is more difficult than in ATB. Because of the historical period, big airports in ATB have more slots than in JA2. But from my observation that should not be enough to explain why you can fly quite easily in and out of Charles de Gaulle that late in ATB compared to JA2. I believe to see the same with Frankfurt and a couple of other majors. Was there some big boy going bust just shortly before game end now or has it been like that in ATB throughout the game? I just wonder because I try to figure out, what went so different in the two games. Any ideas? Thanks.

you simply can't compare early games to late ones.  technology improvements are what ruled the day.
