The Speed World opens this Sunday!
The next special rules Speed World game opens on Sunday October 27th! This Speed World game is shorter than the previous game of the same theme, and some variations to the setup: Time span: 2010 - 2035, overall play time of about two months. Speed of the game is very fast, at only 10 mins per day. You can only open an airline in North America or South America, but you can fly to any destination around the world. The game starts with ~100 computer-controlled airlines already present in the simulation world, each with 2-20 aircraft in operation. Your task is to enter the existing airline market, find the potential markets and try to beat not just the human competition but also the AI! There are no real-life geopolitical restrictions when opening additional base airports. The smallest airports are excluded from the game, and the amount of airport slots is limited at the other airports. All aircraft models are available, but there are no long-haul aircraft available at the used aircraft market when the game starts. Your start-up capital is made fully out of loans. Pre-join the Speed World game here!

Previews: New Scheduling
We're happy to preview the new Scheduling page of AirwaySim!
This is a fully new development and one of the new pages of our "AirwaySim v.2.0" master plan. The most notable update is the mobile-compatible layout, allowing you to see the scheduling data properly even from smaller screens. The page is 100% new technically and using the new framework, making the page much more lightweight and thus much faster to use. Searching and filtering of the routes has been improved with new options and with a more powerful search. The plan is also to offer a new way to schedule flights for the "7-day system" which many of our more experienced airline managers like to use, but the current/old Scheduling page hasn't fully supported this. More details on this later.
You can already access and test this new page, by simply selecting "Beta Scheduling" page from the Routes main menu. Currently viewing, searching and filtering of the schedules work, but you can not yet perform any scheduling actions to the aircraft from this new page. Check out the images from the Previews thread at forums.
New Beginner's World #1
A new Beginner's World #1 scenario is now open!
Join here: https://www.airwaysim.com/game/#game491 AirwaySim has always two concurrent Beginner's World scenarios running (BW#1 and BW#2). They both use the same settings and same time frame.
Our beginner game series is aimed for all newbies and other players wishing to test different playing styles in an easier environment. Duration of one scenario is always approximately 60 real days. The scenario runs for ~10 game years with a speed of 25 minutes per day, and all of AirwaySim's main features are included in these scenarios.
When a BW scenario ends, a new one will start within a few days. The two scenarios are running in parallel so that there is always one BW scenario start every month.
