Following the overwhelmingly successful launch of its trans-Pacific and London services earlier this year, ReedAir today announced a significant increase in flight frequency to Los Angeles (LAX) and London (LHR). By the end of 1961, these popular routes will operate with a twice-daily service, a testament to the strong demand for direct, high-quality air travel from New Zealand.

ReedAir's pioneering expansion has been made possible by its flagship fleet of Bristol Britannias, affectionately known as the "Whispering Giant." These modern, turbo-prop aircraft have delivered unparalleled passenger comfort, speed, and reliability, cementing ReedAir's position as a premier international carrier.

"The response to our new services has been phenomenal," said a company spokesperson. "The Bristol Britannia has proven to be the ideal aircraft for these long-haul routes, and we are proud to offer our passengers an exceptional flying experience. The decision to increase service to twice-daily flights reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of our valued customers and further solidifying New Zealand's connection to the world's most important commercial and cultural centers."

With existing routes connecting Auckland to destinations in Australia, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangkok, the enhanced service to Los Angeles and London completes a truly robust global network. ReedAir remains dedicated to delivering the highest standards of safety, service, and comfort to all its passengers as it continues to grow.
