Well I think it's time to leave the game due to the actions of a certain player. Shame as it was interesting.

I choose these beginner games, as i prefer to have shorter games with a few months to play.
In real life ,most of the games i just cannot give the time due to work and much travel in real life!

Though played for many years with many achievements, a "Golden Rule" for me, is to respect others playing, give them a chance, and time to enjoy.
Pushing others out or spoiling their game, this is not the place to do this.

Everyone should respect some are new people, and let everyone have a go, get a hold of how things work, try strategies out.

It would be good to see more shorter games, open for competition with Awards and achievements?
Then more people would play, be able to fit it into their everyday lives, as it is just not realistic to play a game for a year!!!

Or have some achievements for Beginners games which would motivate and capture people into the scoring games?

But, in these basic games, just spare a thought for others who are trying out, and gain much pleasure from a shorter game and learning.
Just basically decent behaviour to allow others to play, enjoy, as well as yourself...

It can definitely become a bit of a chore instead of fun if you get too big too fast. One of my favorite airlines was an all EMB-120 island hopper in French Polynesia. I had a full amount of bases after gradual expansion, stuck to the one fleet group, filled my uncontested niche and rode out a twenty or thirty year game world. Near the end just because I was rolling in money I got a couple long haul jets and connected to Australia just because.

We definitely did have more shorter scenarios ten years ago in my heyday but it seems for a time at least what people wanted was the epic length scenarios. Perhaps that is changing and more variety might boost player numbers but too many games could also dilute an already diminished player base. I do kind of get wanting the longer ones myself as I typically start with modest ambitions and don't become a bigger player until much later only for the game to then end. I'll keep playing in most of the scenarios on offer regardless. I've missed it here.

To reiterate, if you want to be a casual player and not have to check your airline constantly, find a quiet place, set modest goals, and be a casual player. A small or simple operation doesn't need quite so much baby-sitting once established. And if you do take a couple of days off, you'll just log back in to a nice cash reserve.
