Antoine

Hi Folks,

Hope you are all doing well.

Just wanted to know if there's anyone else out there feeling the same way as myself.

When I first joined the game around 2013 I remember I couldn't get enough. There simply wasn't a game out there with the same depth and yet easy to understand user face.

However fast forward to these days and I find myself out of the game for months at a time. I'm finally starting an airline again having not properly invested in a long game world since 2017/8 .

Anyone have any ideas on how to stay invested with the game? Ive tried nearly all the niche operations one could think of! (Russian wide body being the most frustrating)

Kind Regards and Happy 2021(hopefully) everyone

Well first of all, nothing can keep you interested forever. In my mind it's natural to be "on and off" within a game or a community when time, especially years, go on. But it's always nice when the "off" changes back to "on" after a break.  :)

I personally like the 70s to 90s era since there's so much aircraft types to choose from.

Nothing that a short hiatus can't cure.

Alternative treatment: Get the "Surviving Mars" game and lock yourself in the Sanatorium for a bit.   ;)

Thanks gentlemen.

Unfortunately the hiatus has been a sporadic few weeks on followed by months at a time off. Once I did my first large airline of 200+ A/C I just couldn't motivate myself again  How do you chaps do it ?

Hi Antoine,

I just had a look at your achievements and you don't have all too many (most likely because they were introduced when you no longer played that often). It may not be the most interesting thing to do, but it's definitely rewarding to get achievements only a few people have. It also gives you a clear goal for a game world and you know from day 1 what you want to do. Maybe that helps in giving you some motivation back.

Apart from achievements, I usually just want to succeed. Then again, success can be defined differently. From "pure survival" to "last one standing". You decide how you want to play the game. There is cargo nowadays which you probably have not tried yet. Messing around with the city based demand, stealing demand regionwide etc...can be fun.

There are many aircraft with updated (better) stats. Maybe try Convairs jets for example that are actually usable now.
