Announcements - Beginner's World #1 / BezPeru orders more A220's
Last post by neoman - June 08, 2026, 05:23:08 PMBezPeru Announces Additional Airbus A220-300ER Order to Support Continued Network Expansion
Lima, Peru – BezPeru is pleased to announce a significant follow-on order for additional Airbus A220-300ER aircraft, reinforcing the airline's commitment to efficient growth, passenger comfort, and sustainable operations across South America and beyond.
The 21 new aircraft will form the backbone of BezPeru's short- and medium-haul fleet strategy for the coming decade, supporting the airline's expanding network from its hub in Peru to destinations throughout Latin America.
The Airbus A220-300ER was selected for its exceptional operating economics, industry-leading fuel efficiency, and outstanding passenger experience. The aircraft's advanced aerodynamics, modern Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan engines, and lightweight design deliver substantially lower fuel burn and reduced maintenance costs compared with previous-generation aircraft in its category.
"Today's announcement represents another major milestone in BezPeru's growth journey," said the airline's CEO. "The A220-300ER provides the perfect combination of range, efficiency, and passenger comfort required to support our ambitious expansion plans. Its economics allow us to profitably serve both high-demand trunk routes and developing regional markets while maintaining our commitment to competitive fares."
The additional A220-300ER aircraft will enable BezPeru to increase frequencies on key domestic and regional routes while opening new destinations that were previously uneconomical to serve. The type's extended range capability also provides the flexibility to operate longer medium-haul sectors across South America and selected international markets.
Passengers will benefit from the aircraft's spacious cabin, larger windows, reduced noise levels, and modern onboard environment, further enhancing BezPeru's reputation for delivering a high-quality travel experience.
With this latest order, BezPeru reaffirms its confidence in the Airbus A220 family as the cornerstone of its future fleet. As deliveries enter service, the airline expects the A220-300ER to become the dominant aircraft type across its short- and medium-haul operations, providing the efficiency, flexibility, and reliability needed to support sustained growth in an increasingly competitive market.
BezPeru is Peru's rapidly growing airline, connecting passengers across domestic and international destinations with a focus on operational excellence, customer service, and modern fleet efficiency. Through continued investment in next-generation aircraft, BezPeru is building a network designed to meet the evolving travel needs of South America while delivering long-term sustainable growth.

Game talk - The Age of Flight / Re: Route Image
Last post by freshmore - June 08, 2026, 02:31:07 PMTo provide a little context that may be useful to understanding the above. Route image is between airport pairs, not attached to any specific flight. It doesn't matter the flight number, time or aircraft you fly so long as you fly it, image will grow.
I believe it may also be affected by a really poor on time/cancellation rate. Generally, speaking so long as your scheduling is sensible, that won't come into it.

Announcements - History and the Future / NorthStar Enters the Jet Age a...
Last post by xAxonZz - June 07, 2026, 10:50:55 PMFirst Vickers VC10 Arrives in Montréal as Airline Unveils Special Canadiens Livery
Montréal, March 1963 — NorthStar Airways today celebrated two historic milestones that will shape the future of both the airline and the city of Montréal.
Before thousands of invited guests, aviation enthusiasts, government officials, media representatives, and members of the Montréal Canadiens organization, NorthStar Airways officially welcomed its first Vickers VC10 jet aircraft and simultaneously announced a landmark partnership with the Montréal Canadiens.
The event marks the beginning of the Jet Age for NorthStar Airways and the start of a long-term relationship between two of Montréal's most recognizable institutions.
As part of the announcement, the airline unveiled a specially painted VC10 featuring elements inspired by the Canadiens' iconic colours and identity while retaining NorthStar's distinctive blue-and-gold branding. Prominently displayed near the aircraft's nose is the Canadiens crest alongside the inscription:
"The Canadiens fly NorthStar"
Beginning with the upcoming season, NorthStar Airways will become responsible for transporting the Canadiens to away games throughout North America, ensuring the club travels in the comfort and speed of the modern jet era.
Speaking during the ceremony, NorthStar Airways executives described the occasion as one of the most significant moments in the airline's history.
> "Today we celebrate more than the arrival of a new aircraft. We celebrate the beginning of a new chapter for Montréal, for NorthStar Airways, and for one of the greatest hockey clubs in the world."
The arrival of the VC10 represents the first step in the airline's ambitious fleet modernization programme.
NorthStar Airways confirmed that it has now placed orders for a total of 112 Vickers VC10 and Super VC10 aircraft, making the programme the largest fleet investment ever undertaken by the airline and one of the most ambitious commercial aviation projects in Canada.
The aircraft will gradually transform NorthStar's international network, connecting Montréal, Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto with destinations throughout North America, Europe, South America, Africa, and beyond.
Since its founding in 1950, NorthStar Airways has transported more than 27 million passengers, grown into Canada's third-largest airline, and established itself as Montréal's leading carrier. As a founding member of the Phoenix Alliance, the airline continues to strengthen its position as a global connector while remaining firmly rooted in the city where its story began. The newly introduced partnership with the Montréal Canadiens reflects that commitment.
The collaboration will include exclusive team travel arrangements, fan initiatives, community programmes, and the introduction of the new:
NorthStar Airways Player of the Match Award
which will be presented following every Canadiens home game to recognize outstanding performances both on and off the ice.
As the newly delivered VC10 taxied past cheering spectators beneath a sea of NorthStar and Canadiens flags, the symbolism was unmistakable.
One aircraft.
One city.
Two proud Montréal institutions.
Entering a new era together.

Feature requests / Registration number requests
Last post by Flightsimer - June 07, 2026, 05:22:09 PMRegistration system could use some updating in general. The United States is a Numerical and/or Alpa with an N in front, however N+ Numbers( 1-5#s only), N+Numbers+Letter and N+Numbers+Letter+Letter are all valid US registration formats.
Issue: the system currently sorts registration numbers (at least with respect with american numbers) by the numerics only. So If I have 101NE-199NE and 101NA-199NA, then it orders the numbers on the various pages as 101NA followed by 101NE, 102NA, 102NE, 103NA, etc... I would like it to sort 101NA through 199NA first then list 101NE through 101NE.
This is an issue as I typically run 4-5 fleets or more and when rolling fleets over to new fleet types, I run out of numbers. I also tend to create blocks of numbers for various sub fleets, this way when I look at my scheduling pages, I know whats a 737-600 vs a 737-800 or E175 vs E195 vs E190E2, etc without having to hover.
There ideas are all each independent of each other but would allow the greatest flexibility to the CEO.
1) allow the CEO to select which part of the registration should be sequential in the automation.
(Does 101NE become 102NE next or does it go to 101NF)
2) Allow the CEO to select which part of the registration the sorting order shall be based off of.
(Does the default sorting order sort by the numbers or by the Letters at the end. This is independent of #1)
3) Add additional default registration preset columns in the settings page, in which case these columns would function as the default sorting order. It also allows the CEO to specifically set where the system picks up when a complete number sequence has been utilized. The first box would be utilized to 100% then goes to box 2 to 100% then Box 3, etc.
(B737NG preset box #1 N101NE, Box #2 N101NA, Box #3 101NG)
(B737NG Preset box #1 101NA, Box #2 101BA, Box #3 101CA)
4) Addition Subfleet boxes within the default registration number settings pages
(737NG Default preset box N101NE)
—— 737-600 Default preset box 101NE
—- 737-700 Default preset box 136NE
In #4, if subfleet is not filled in it would just run off of basic default, but otherwise follow the subfleet boxes.

If I change the flight times and assign the flight to a different (type of) aircraft, but with the same flight number, will the route image remain the same?

Game talk - The Age of Flight / Re: Route Image
Last post by groundbum2 - June 06, 2026, 06:00:21 PMRoute Image starts at 0 and grows to 100. Every week that a single flight occurs, the route image increases by 1 (this could be wrong). Every week there are no flights on the route, it drops by 5 (this figure could also be wrong). It can climb faster if there is advertising on the route, but I don't believe will climb if there are no flights. So advertising without a flight is a waste of money.

Under what circumstances does the route image change?

General forum / Re: Aircraft maintenance effic...
Last post by Usagi - June 05, 2026, 01:58:30 AMI did some tests today when I had a few spare aircraft available and running the F.27's from 2 additional bases dropped the efficiency from %75 to %58.3 but only increased costs by around 2k. So really negligible for a fleet this size (48 aircraft). Most of the increase was in 'fixed maintenance' costs, but it isn't really clear how the efficiency figure is applied in the equation.
I'll just stick with one type of aircraft for this role and run them at lower efficiency. Maybe for larger more expensive aircraft and/or smaller fleet sizes it might make more of a difference but from what I can tell the benefits of running a larger fleet of one aircraft far outweighs the additional costs from low efficiency.
