Donga Airlines is proud to announce the opening of a new operational base at Daegu International Airport (TAE), further strengthening its domestic and regional network and reinforcing its commitment to balanced growth across Korea.
With the launch of the Daegu base, Donga Airlines will introduce its first group of services connecting Daegu to Muan, Gwangju, and Tokyo Narita.
These routes are designed to enhance regional connectivity while offering passengers greater convenience for both domestic and international travel.
New Jet Member: Mitsubishi Regional Jet 70ER
All flights operating from Daegu will be served by the new Mitsubishi Regional Jet 70ER (MRJ 70ER).
Featuring a modern 2+2 seating configuration with 68 seats, the aircraft is tailored for regional routes, combining comfort, efficiency, and reliability.
The introduction of the MRJ 70ER allows Donga Airlines to better align capacity with demand while maintaining frequent and dependable services.
In parallel with the Daegu launch, Donga Airlines will also deploy the Mitsubishi Regional Jet 70ER on selected domestic routes to and from Jeju (CJU).
This step supports improved schedule flexibility and service consistency on one of Korea's most important domestic travel markets.
Network Growth in 2024 and Beyond
Throughout 2024, Donga Airlines plans to further expand its regional footprint by introducing additional routes and frequencies connecting Jeju and Daegu.
These developments will strengthen the role of regional bases in the airline's network and provide passengers with more travel options across Korea.
Looking ahead to 2025, Donga Airlines' strategic focus will shift toward international connectivity.
The airline plans to launch additional international services via Incheon (ICN) and continue building a more integrated transit network designed to connect Asia with destinations across the world.
