Generally this down to either (1) delays, (2) strikes or (3) ramp checks. To check (1) have a look at the "flights" "delay" menu. Any cancellations over 2% will affect your CI. Some cancellations and delays are inevitable, delays, weather etc. Don't worry too much about aircraft condition. if you have 60% aircraft condition do a series of cheap B checks one after another to get to 95% condition. Far cheaper than a single C check.

Good luck! Simon

Jakarta, Indonesia – NorthStar Airways today proudly announces the successful completion of a major fleet transformation, marking a significant milestone in the airline's development in Southeast Asia.

Over the past months, NorthStar Airways has transitioned from a fleet of leased Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft to a fully renewed, company-owned fleet of state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. This strategic move underlines the airline's long-term commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and an enhanced passenger experience.

The new-generation aircraft offer substantial improvements in fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and significantly lower noise levels, supporting NorthStar Airways' ambition to operate one of the most modern and environmentally responsible fleets in the region. At the same time, passengers will benefit from a noticeably quieter cabin, improved air quality, and a refreshed interior designed around comfort and efficiency.

Alongside the fleet renewal, NorthStar Airways has introduced an upgraded onboard service concept. Travelers can look forward to a refined cabin atmosphere, improved seating comfort, modern in-flight connectivity options, and a service philosophy that blends international standards with warm Asian hospitality.

"This fleet transformation represents more than just new aircraft," said a spokesperson for NorthStar Airways in Jakarta. "It is a clear statement of where we are heading: investing in the best technology available, elevating our service offering, and strengthening our position as a premium, forward-looking airline in Indonesia and beyond."

With hubs in Jakarta and Denpasar (Bali), NorthStar Airways continues to expand its network, connecting Indonesia more closely with regional and international destinations. Passengers can also look forward to further exciting developments, as the airline is preparing the next step in its long-haul evolution with something big on the horizon.

NorthStar Airways is a proud member of the Phoenix Alliance, offering passengers seamless connectivity, shared standards of quality, and an extended global network.

...and my pet moan.  It's actually 3 (or however many) per EIGHT DAYS, not per week. It's a long standing bug (10+ years) which will never be fixed.

I suggest a EU only game.  This will bring in the smaller aircraft, with timetables to optimise flights per day!

as per the manual....

Maximum of three (3) leases / purchases of used aircraft per game day
AND maximum of three (3) leases / purchases of used aircraft within last 7 game days.
These limits will grow when your airline becomes larger (the limits are always 3 units or at least 2% of your total fleet size; i.e. a 300-aircraft strong airline can lease / purchase up to 6 used aircraft per week).

How is it possible that some airlines are able to lease/purchase and arrange delivery  9-13 planes on one  day while I can only have 3 a day?  Has that to do with the size of the airline,or with some specific extra staff?

Announcements - Airline Generations / Need a fast 19 seater?
Last post by coopdogyo - December 07, 2025, 06:03:51 PM
Air Ryania has many Fairchild Metro's on the used market. All around 10 years old, they are also cheap. Great little 19 seaters and most importantly are small class. Don't order new when you can get used for less than half the price!

Announcements / Long Haul Challenge game is no...
Last post by Sami - December 07, 2025, 04:00:46 PM
The Long Haul Challenge scenario is now open!

This special scenario focuses on long-range operations, major global airports, and the largest aircraft types from 1998 to 2015. Build your long-haul airline, expand freely anywhere in the world, and compete on the busiest international routes. Only widebodies and major hubs are included, with 25 mins / day simulation speed, creating a fast and strategic long-haul experience.

The basic settings are:
  • Time span: 1999 - 2015, at 25 minutes per game day.

  • Normal difficulty level / Short length scenario.

  • The overall play duration of this game is about 3 months.

  • Only widebody or long-haul aircraft types are included (note: B757 is also excluded to keep the selection more oriented to very large aircraft).

  • Only airports in size classes 3-5 are included (based on the internal size classes)

  • Cargo features are enabled normally.

  • Airport slots are more limited than usual since there is no short-haul traffic.

  • There are no limitations at all where you can open additional base airports (no fleet size or geopolitical limits).

  • The Easy Start mode is not available when starting an airline, since long-haul traffic is not supported by that feature.

If it has been a while since you started at early stages in a major AirwaySim game, here are a few reminders and tips:
  • The game clock is paused for the first day and will start moving after 24 hrs.

  • The used aircraft market will refresh several times during the first static day (but you can only make two orders for aircraft during the first day).

  • There is a good supply of used aircraft available to begin with, but the used aircraft market will soon become limited and the popular aircraft types are sold/leased very quickly. Take care when picking the aircraft you plan to use and plan to order aircraft directly from the manufacturers.

  • New aircraft ordering will be available after the time starts to move (= from day 2 of the simulation), but it is of course always recommended to lease several used aircraft to begin with.

  • Be patient with the route sales figures since your Route Image grows slowly. Do not spend all your cash on planes at once, remember to leave a good reserve. It takes time to gain profits and there might be unexpected early problems..

  • Some popular airports will for sure become limited on airport slots soon. This is normal and you should use larger aircraft or other airports in that case. Please remember that slots are only available when the airport infrastructure expands.

  • The passenger demand will grow steadily during the course of the game, and is rather low at the very beginning.

  • Consider joining an alliance from early stages of the game, they are great resources for improving your game play (tips and help from fellow players).

  • Remember to read the AirwaySim Manual to learn more, and join the Discord chat to meet other players!

Welcome to join the latest AirwaySim airline game and have fun!
