Announcements - History and the Future / Adam Air Responds to AIRTRAX A...
Last post by humbleadnan94 - Today at 05:33:57 AMBurbank, CA — Adam Air today issued a response following the AIRTRAX Awards naming the airline "The Most Boring Airline in the World," citing its bleak, corporate-heavy livery, muted cabin interiors, and what the awards committee described as "an aggressively uninspiring onboard experience."
The award, which quickly gained traction across aviation forums and consumer review sites, highlighted customer feedback suggesting that price competitiveness is the primary — and sometimes only — reason passengers choose Adam Air.
One widely circulated review noted:
"If Adam Air's prices weren't competitive, I wouldn't even consider it."
Another described the cabin as:
"Perfectly functional, impressively dull, and somehow designed to make a two-hour flight feel like a corporate training seminar."
Adam Air CEO Humad Adam addressed the award in a sharply worded — and unapologetically candid — statement:
"We don't deny that Adam Air prioritizes efficiency, reliability, and cost discipline. We built an airline designed to win markets, not design awards. Boring does not cancel flights. Boring does not lose bags. Boring does not bankrupt airlines."
However, the AIRTRAX report also lamented what it called "the total loss of Air Cali's soul," referring to the airline Adam Air acquired years ago.
Before the takeover, Air Cali was widely praised for its vibrant blue-and-orange color scheme, relaxed West Coast branding, and what frequent flyers described as a "sunny, California vibe in the sky."
Since the acquisition, critics argue that Adam Air has stripped away that personality in favor of a neutral, corporate aesthetic.
"Air Cali used to feel fun," one former loyalist wrote. "Now it feels like flying inside an accounting spreadsheet."
Mr. Adam acknowledged the comparison — but stood firm:
"Air Cali was colorful. It was friendly. It was also unsustainable. We didn't erase the brand — we saved the operation. Nostalgia doesn't pay fuel bills."
Despite the criticism, Adam Air emphasized that load factors remain strong, particularly among price-sensitive travelers and corporate contracts, and that the airline's market performance has not suffered as a result of the award.
"Customers vote with their wallets," Adam added. "They continue to choose Adam Air because we offer competitive fares, reliable service, and a network that works. If that makes us boring, we'll wear the title — quietly and profitably."
The airline confirmed it has no immediate plans to change its livery or cabin design, though it noted that future aircraft deliveries may include "subtle refinements" to interior materials.
In closing, Adam Air offered a final line aimed squarely at critics:
"The aviation industry is full of colorful airlines that don't exist anymore. Adam Air does."

Last post by groundbum2 - Yesterday at 08:36:28 AMGenerally this down to either (1) delays, (2) strikes or (3) ramp checks. To check (1) have a look at the "flights" "delay" menu. Any cancellations over 2% will affect your CI. Some cancellations and delays are inevitable, delays, weather etc. Don't worry too much about aircraft condition. if you have 60% aircraft condition do a series of cheap B checks one after another to get to 95% condition. Far cheaper than a single C check.
Good luck! Simon

Announcements - The Modern Times / NorthStar Airways Completes Fl...
Last post by xAxonZz - December 13, 2025, 04:53:43 PMJakarta, Indonesia – NorthStar Airways today proudly announces the successful completion of a major fleet transformation, marking a significant milestone in the airline's development in Southeast Asia.
Over the past months, NorthStar Airways has transitioned from a fleet of leased Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft to a fully renewed, company-owned fleet of state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. This strategic move underlines the airline's long-term commitment to operational excellence, sustainability, and an enhanced passenger experience.
The new-generation aircraft offer substantial improvements in fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and significantly lower noise levels, supporting NorthStar Airways' ambition to operate one of the most modern and environmentally responsible fleets in the region. At the same time, passengers will benefit from a noticeably quieter cabin, improved air quality, and a refreshed interior designed around comfort and efficiency.
Alongside the fleet renewal, NorthStar Airways has introduced an upgraded onboard service concept. Travelers can look forward to a refined cabin atmosphere, improved seating comfort, modern in-flight connectivity options, and a service philosophy that blends international standards with warm Asian hospitality.
"This fleet transformation represents more than just new aircraft," said a spokesperson for NorthStar Airways in Jakarta. "It is a clear statement of where we are heading: investing in the best technology available, elevating our service offering, and strengthening our position as a premium, forward-looking airline in Indonesia and beyond."
With hubs in Jakarta and Denpasar (Bali), NorthStar Airways continues to expand its network, connecting Indonesia more closely with regional and international destinations. Passengers can also look forward to further exciting developments, as the airline is preparing the next step in its long-haul evolution with something big on the horizon.
NorthStar Airways is a proud member of the Phoenix Alliance, offering passengers seamless connectivity, shared standards of quality, and an extended global network.

Last post by groundbum2 - December 08, 2025, 04:52:13 PMas per the manual....
Maximum of three (3) leases / purchases of used aircraft per game day
AND maximum of three (3) leases / purchases of used aircraft within last 7 game days.
These limits will grow when your airline becomes larger (the limits are always 3 units or at least 2% of your total fleet size; i.e. a 300-aircraft strong airline can lease / purchase up to 6 used aircraft per week).

Last post by FLYAIR10 - December 08, 2025, 04:01:27 PMHow is it possible that some airlines are able to lease/purchase and arrange delivery 9-13 planes on one day while I can only have 3 a day? Has that to do with the size of the airline,or with some specific extra staff?
