Devon Airlines continues its rapid growth, posting over $1 billion in pre-tax profits for the third consecutive quarter. Dominating passenger traffic at Sydney and Brisbane airports, the airline has now set its sights on expanding into Melbourne.

When asked about the possibility of establishing a base in Perth following a recent competitor bankruptcy, CEO Devon commented:
"The next two to three years will be challenging, but we do intend to open a base in Perth. We're just not rushing it—the pace of new aircraft deliveries is too slow to adequately support our existing bases at the moment."

Addressing the recovery of rival OASYS from its financial troubles, CEO Devon quipped:
"I'm not sure why they dropped their New York flights. Honestly, they should be bolder and fly the 747s and A380s! That would certainly win them plenty of passengers."
