MyJet faced severe operational hurdles over several years, primarily due to an ill-suited fleet selection coinciding with the unexpected closure of the old Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and the opening of a new facility. This transition led to a drastic and unannounced shift in passenger demand, compounded by aggressive competition, ultimately leading to MyJet's bankruptcy.

In 2007, MyJet2 emerged from these challenges, laying the groundwork for what is now MyAsia. The airline has since successfully navigated a dynamic aviation landscape, demonstrating a strong commitment to adapting and evolving.

Today, MyAsia operates a diverse and efficient fleet tailored to its extensive network.
