Skye Airways expands regional service

Skye Airways and Fairchild Aircraft, Ltd have partnered to bring expansive regional service to the United States with an order of over 30 Fairchild Metro aircraft. The deal is comprised of a mix of new and used aircraft. Fairchild, who brokered the deal, confirmed the order for 20 brand new Fairchild Metro aircraft with another 10 coming from partnerships with other airlines. The brand new Fairchild Metro III and Fairchild Metro 23 aircraft will be delivered directly from Fairchild's San Antonio manufacturing plant in Texas over the next two years.

"This order is a reflection of our commitment to the fast and frequent commuter service on our Skye Express regional brand," CEO Skye Bradley, announced at the company's headquarters earlier today. "With more aircraft in our growing fleet, we can provide our customers with quick travel along the busiest corridors than ever before."
