Connect B377 Stratocruiser Featured On Post Office Stamp

The Post Office Department issued a new 25-cent airmail stamp featuring one of Connect's numerous Stratocruisers.

It is one of three stamps in a series designed to meet new international airmail rates established November 1, 1946.

Here, the aircraft is seen overflying the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge.



Asked if he thought the publicity would translate into higher load factors for the company, the airline's CEO simply said:

"Any publicity is good publicity. Unless your airplanes have square windows. As an aside, our friends over at ELITE ALLIANCE could up their marketing budget a little, as we haven't heard from any of their partner airlines this year. Perhaps they should invite us to join their alliance and be in charge of PR, as this move would finally raise their company image and routes image reputation to nearly acceptable levels."
