Difference in slot costs

During some research on slot costs there's a huge difference in slots costs between airlines. As far as I know are the slots costs based on an algoritm which include the following indicators:

• Airport Infrastructure
• Airline Age
• Airline Operation Size
• Available Slots

In this case it's early game therefore all indicators are basically all the same, except for Airline Operation Size. Everyone who's having a good start will just get punished for having a good start. This makes in my opinion no sense at all, since in every game and also in real life you should have an advantage for doing well. I understand you want some sort of competition, but shouldn't it just be that the competition must do a better job. Having a good start should give you the availability to get the advantage over your competition and out run them because of your advantage. In this scenario I've to pay 2,5 times (400k over 1m) more for the exact same slots, only because I've a good start and therefore a bigger airline. That's for me one of the multiple reasons why people feel it's hard to keep interested in the game, because doing well keeps getting you hurt.

Therefore I would like to see equal slots costs for everyone, because it isn't right that you get disadvantaged for doing a good job. I do feel like that there should be a discount on slot costs for airlines which starts mid-game.

Please share your opinion on this topic, because I do feel like this is a concerning topic.

You are looking this at the wrong way conceptually. There are no "penalties" or "punishments" in the slot costs. Instead, slot cost is the same for every airline (given the same departure time).

But an airline who is new to that particular airport can receive a discount (to encourage to fly to new airports), and an airline who has just started in the game will receive a discount (as part of new airline boosts to make it easier to start mid-game).

I think slots should be free and they should have an upkeep cost to encourage appropriate fleet usage but hey thats just me
