Addition to World events: Influenza/coronavirus pandemic

Adding a pandemic would be interesting. That could mean flight cancellations from certain bases > countries, decrease in regional > global demand (I think domestic demand should suffer less), which would expand from a certain location to markets along not proximity, but connections intensity (for instance, the virus would spread from Turkey to Germany before Greece or Iran).

The severity could be optional - from a 2-4 weeks closure and slow expansion (less contagious, shorter incubation period) to 3-6 months closure (more contagious, longer incubation period) and a rapid one. The event could be implemented 0-4 times per long game.

After the pandemic, demand could then slowly rise to excessive demand (say, to 120%) for some time.

Regulate it based on intensity is not easy to do, I think. Moreover, it doesn't account for sanitary measures this or that country might take.

However, a big, global event (say, 5% reduction overall, due to fear), followed by a series of country-scale events (random countries) with much more strength (-10, maybe -15% on top of the previous -5%) over a period of 2-6 months, that might reflect somewhat what is happening.

Then, if we read what has been said on discord, "late game event"... I'm not sure, why should it happen in late game? Sure, we had the SRAS some years ago, and now we got this one, but a new disease is not planning to go off during the last game period. In my opinion, should be at random. Just maybe avoiding some kind of double effect, thus no simultaneity with: severe stock market crash in X continent, 1970s fuel spikes, 9-11.

Well double effect can happen. Spanish flu did strike with WW1. OK, there was not really air transport in this era, but trouble may arrive in squads.

In a "free fight" GW that we could have one day, I'd agree, but fortunately/unfortunately, AWS doesn't really works this way. There are traps along the way, but les emmerdes ne volent pas en escadrilles (at least the big ones).

(going very chiracy these days...)
