Cargo assymmetry

Hi all,

As we all know cargo asymmetry is a part of CBD/cargo.
This is logical and should not be changed.

However when looking at the route planning page one only sees the demand from your home base.
THIS should change. A route that seemingly has no cargo demand may be worthwhile to put a cargo heavy aircraft on.
Or a route that seems devoid of cargo, might have a large demand the other way.

It is however a hassle to look at both ways of demand to figure out how much cargo demand there really is. Can we please get a way to see return cargo demand on the route planning page?

Cheers,

NC

Agreed.

Maybe 2 tabs within the same window, preloaded, so it doesn't overconfuse us with data, but is still accessible without sending a request to the server / load a new page.

Something like this would suffice:

Also, yes. No need for the precise figures immediately, just a rough idea of wether the route is worth it or not. Totally agreed.

I would take 1 way figures in text (as opposed to on the chart) - just for the sake of readability.  But both way figures in text would be just fantastic.

One great thing that CBD introduced - getting away from absolutely useless randomness - and you want to remove it?  Can you please explain, in as much detail than you would like, why is it better to get the exact demand by refreshing the screen 100 times, writing the numbers down and then calculating the average?

As  opposed to just displaying it right away (as is the case for cargo on the charts).

"Precise figures" was for the detail between LC, SC and SC, and the possible supply by someone else, like on the graph. Having the total demand in cargo already gives us a rough estimate of wether the route could be worth flying or not, even if we don't have the detail by category.
That's all, nothing more, no need to over-interpret.

Sorry, I misunderstood.  One of the great things with CBD is that one (of many) randomizations / obfuscations has not been introduced with the cargo CBD.  So I don't want anyone to even suggest re-introducing it.

I think the Route Planning page is in the need of some upgrades.  Some are more difficult / conceptual (some ideas here):

Some very simple, as simple as this one.  They say there is no 15 minute programming change.  But this one may be challenging that notion.  The text figures can be added in literally 15 minutes (at least one way).

BTW, Both Total Potential and Total Actual figures in text would be the most helpful.  At least one way, but ideally both ways.  It would make it a lot easier to just glance at the route, without scrolling down, looking for my magnifying glass to read the figures.
