heres an idea that could solve over expansion, companies dominating multiple hubs and over ordering etc

why not have maintainance slots,

having a certain number per airport, increased only by players building a limited amounted of hangers.

i think this way players would have to expand carefully with these in mind. becuase when your airport maintaince slots are not available you'd have to fly to the next nearest airport for maintainance. and it would give you a schedule for works to be done over the year.
