Base airport closing soon

I just got a message saying that one of my base airports will be closing soon. I don't understand why, as the airport has been profitable for me. My aircraft and routes will be moved to a new airport, but I am not sure if the demands will be the same. I am afraid the new airport will not have enough passenger demand and it will make my company lose a lot of money. What should I do? Open a new base and move my aircraft over there, or wait to see what happens on the new airport?

Your routes will automatically get transferred to the new Brandenburg airport.  Most routes should have greater demand. The transfer should be pretty painless.  It is happening because in real life this airport closes at this date and new one replaces it.

The change to Brandenburg is one of the best in the game. Demand grows a lot then. You may have one or two "empty" days, but after, life should be easier.
