When adding a new aircraft, when are the required employees hired?

Hello,

I have my staffing set to automatically hire addition staff so I was wondering when I'm adding a new aircraft when do they new pilots, cabin crew, etc get hired? Are they hired when the aircraft is delivered or as soon as the order is made?

I'm curious because I'm in the process of buying out all my leased aircraft so I'm not adding any aircraft to my fleet, just replacing them and I don't want/need any additional staff to be hired.

As soon as you put a schedule on a plane.

Any plane you've ordered, but is too far away to see on the schedule = no staff.

Any plane you already have, but has no routes/maintenance scheduled = no staff required.

Any plane you've assigned routes to, even if it hasn't been delivered yet = staff required.

Just make sure you are replacing aircraft of the same size class or you will end up with a bunch of pilots who dont fly anything :)

No worries. Exact same type. Just getting rid of my leases as I can now afford to buy aircraft.
