Hi guys,

This may seem a daft questions (I have searched and can't find anything answering this question), how can I tell how large a saving I am making with my fleet commonality? I have 10 732Adv, the engines are mixed to my knowledge this makes very little effect on overall commonality.

I operate 5 DC-10-30/40 (4 30's 1 40). On this note is my fleet commonality affected if I have a mix between fleet groups ie within my DC-10s 10/30/40 to my knowledge have many interchangeable parts and common crew types.

So really al I am wondering is how can I see savings commonality makes me and do the different variants of the same type have a negative effect?

Oh I do know about the fleet commonality page but it just shows red on the numbers which never seems good to me.

Usually 2 types, 3 max doesn't really hurt you much. It's when you get all over the map (no pun intended) with fleet types that you run into trouble. You might want to replace your 737-200s with -300s and -400s to save money. I think you're fine with your DC-10's. Any expense on the commonality issue of the VERSIONS of the -10's is probably not worth worrying about in the least.  I'm not sure what game your in, but the replacing the 737-200's with newer models would be a good idea. I guess what I'm saying is don't go adding Airbus and BAC etc.. Just stick with your Boeing and Douglas fleets.

I'm JA at the minute so the best I can get is the 200 or I wouldn't touch them, I prefer the A320's if they are available to be honest found them in a past game to have decent operating costs.

Thanks for the reply that helps me to understand the commonality a bit better. Thumbs up for you.
