- New feature, staff strikes.

The staff can strike if all these are true: a) are using manual staff adjustments, b) staff requests payraise, c) you do not accept the payraise within certain time. Then the staff will first warn of the strike (email is sent too!), and then you have 60 game days time to act before they may strike.

Raising their wages to requested level will clear the strike. When staff is on strike the amount of canceled or delayed flights depends on which staff group is on strike. Also a threat of strike will lower employee morale even more and cause additional delays as staff is unmotivated and frustrated to the firm.

Wow Sami.... 324k a month for 26 Tu-134s?!  That's crazy.

That has to be one of the lowest per plane operating cost in the game (jet wise)... hey.. share the secrets too you know  :-[

By comparison.. my SE 210 10Rs have better fuel econ, longer range and lower crew requirements... but @ 31 aircraft, I pay 1.1M per month in training/admin costs..

So the question is.. given the extra crew, lower fuel econo, does the -134 operating at a lower cost at the end of the month?

Oh, everyone watching, this goes to show you how detailed AWS can get  ;)

Your sum is higher as you have more aircraft types in operation. (the number of different types raises the number, not the number of planes operated - though if you have 500 aircraft and 10 fleet groups, it doesn't matter). Plus that pic is from the test server I think so it's probably from earlier year too (cheaper back then).

But I have to tweak that a bit as I actually figured now that it didn't take into account one variable from the database which is a part cause for it.

Sami

A few more for the alliance feature as it's now nearly finished.

I have only been a member a few days. but I cant wait to play this... I check the website 2 or 3 times a day just to make sure that it hasn't started

jdsnively

How much will it cost to play this game?

tofen

I found out about this site and game just yesterday, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since.
I really hope the last snags get fixed soon so the game can bee released to public.

A thing I have thought about. Is this game only made for pax operations? or could you also create a cargo airline?
I haven't seen any screens on the cargo management part of the game so I figured there might be non?

Anyway, keep up the good work Sami!

Sundaypilot

Hi,

I'll answer so Sami et al. can concentrate on development... ;)
(I'm not part of the development, so I can only tell how I've understood.)

At the moment there is only pax. I believe 1st version will be this way.

But there is plans to include cargo, the game-model supports it. So most likely you will later be able to fly both pax+cargo or just cargo planes.

I don't know if the prices have been decided yet, but the system is somewhat like this:
- You can buy AirwaySim credits (with various online purchase methods; credit card, paypal etc)
- Each game costs AWS credits. In beta price has been 10 credits per game.
- If you stop playing in the middle of game, you will get "unused" credits back to your account.

I don't know, if you can try the game before buying credits, or if there will be a demo-game you could try before buying. Propably yes.
