Ryanair 101

So guys what do you think what the best plane is?

Please post your top three .

My top three are:
1. Airbus A300.
2.737-300,400,500
3.727-200 adv.

This is just for fun so please dont get too offensive or serious. :)

Curse

1. DC-10 (-10,-30,-30ER)
2. DC-6(B)
3. DC-8 (-20, -4x, -5x, -6x)

All of them are without serious alternatives (at least in AWS) to their specific time.

 :-\

I wish I had some possible parameters besides best/economical to go by, but here we go I suppose.
737-900
BAC 1-11-500
F.27 Mk 500

(Keep in mind I usually only operate domestically, so I have no bias towards large or LH aircraft.)

There is no best plane actually, each airport/era has its own best planes.
For Europe short haul planes is useful in any era, while in Asia, planes without range is proven to be rubbish there.

Economical, well, just take a look on maintenance, fuel cost, crew number and you get the clue.  ;D

For Europe you should also name A320/B737 as BAC-1-11 replacements!!

Or even E-Jets and Bombardier C Series are also good. ::)

Don't think I can muster a top 3 for the reasons vito mentioned but definitely A330-300 for long(-ish) haul ops is hard to beat.

757-300

You would say that  ;D

I like the 722Adv for quick starts (them move fast off them when you can) and for me, the 752/753 are great.  Good almost-LH range and cheap as. Great for trans-Atlantic (no matter what Jona says!  ;) )

Tu-144 is good in its time even though it drinks fuel as its cheap to lease and fast for a prop

otherwise

757-300
767-400

I'm sure you are referring to the Tu-114 there...the variant of the Tu-95 'Bear' bomber.

The Tu-144 is the supersonic transport often called 'Concordski' by westerners.

I'm a fan of the Bac-111 family for short haul and start-up.  -500s are a great way to get started in most of the game worlds (1964-1995, if still in production) and the -475s add a smaller fleet alternative with same commonality.  after the mid 2000s...I like the longer range embraer and CRJ jets.  the funny thing about the BAC-111s is most would not be able to land in the US or Europe after the mid 1990s due to noisy engines... but since this is AWS   ;) ;D  they seem to be a preferred choice.
