The AirwaySim's in-game events module has been updated with the capability to show real-life historical events in the games. These events are pre-scripted and will happen always at a given date in all game worlds where they are included. An example of such event is for example the 9/11; it has been previously already modelled as part of the global air travel index but it is now represented by a dedicated event leading to temporarily lower demand, high cancellations and delays, and also as a news item in the Dashboard. At this time there are only a couple of other such events but the database will be expanded later on.
